FortifyCast Guides

Hands-on guides for creators. Written to be read once, referenced often. Each one is a complete walkthrough rather than a listicle: what to do, in what order, what it costs, and what usually goes wrong the first time. They assume no prior podcasting experience and no equipment beyond a phone.

The guides are maintained rather than archived. When the platform changes, or when the practical advice stops being true, we revise the guide in place and update its modified date instead of publishing a fresh post. Every guide carries a named author and follows our editorial standards.

Where to start

If you have not published anything yet, read the guide on starting your first podcast first, then the one on what to say in your first episode. If you already have a show and want listeners, go to audience growth. If you have listeners and want the show to pay for itself, go to monetization. Hosts running live rooms should read the live audio and the community safety guides together, since moderation matters far more in real time than it does on a recorded episode.

Who these are for

The guides assume you are doing this yourself, without a producer, a studio or a marketing budget. Where a step costs money we say how much and whether it is optional; where free is genuinely good enough, we say so rather than pushing equipment. Most of the advice applies on any podcast platform, not only this one, and where something is specific to FortifyCast we mark it clearly so you are not left guessing.
