Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data FortifyCast collects, how we use it, and the controls you have. We operate from Accra, Ghana and serve users worldwide.
Data we collect
- Account data: email, username, display name, avatar, optional bio and social links.
- Content data: podcasts, episodes, live recordings, clips, chat messages, direct messages, gifts and reactions you send or receive.
- Usage data: what you listen to, episode progress, follows, plays, basic device and browser information, IP-derived region.
- Payment data: coin purchases, gift transactions, Fortify Pro subscription status, withdrawal details (mobile money number or bank account). Card data is processed by our payment partners; we do not store card numbers.
- Push tokens: if you enable notifications, we store the push subscription so we can send alerts.
How we use your data
To operate the Service: deliver audio, run live rooms, recommend shows, process payments, send notifications, prevent fraud, enforce our Guidelines and respond to legal requests.
Who we share it with
Vetted infrastructure providers (database, audio hosting, live streaming, push delivery, analytics, payment processors) acting as data processors under contract. We do not sell your personal data to advertisers.
Advertising
Free accounts may see ads (Google AdSense fallback plus direct sponsorships). Pro subscribers and trial-period users do not see ads. AdSense may use cookies to personalise ads; you can manage this from Google Ad Settings.
Retention
Live chat messages are auto-deleted 7 days after a session ends. Direct messages auto-expire based on participants' retention settings (default 14 days). Unsaved live recordings auto-delete after 30 days. Account data is kept while your account is active.
Your rights
You can view and edit your profile, delete content, export your data, or delete your account from Settings. To exercise data rights or ask questions email privacy@fortifycast.com.
Children
FortifyCast is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
Changes
We'll notify you of material changes. The "Last updated" date reflects the most recent revision.
